Ulez engine question
Afternoon all
I have a probably very stupid question about engines and ULEZ (its a London thing for anyone living in a more civilized location)
My car is a 2011 Megane DCI 1.5 MK3. The engine fitted is the same as fitted to a 2016 model. My 2011 is NOT ULEZ compliant, yet the 2016 model, with
the same engine is.
I must be missing something obvious but cant work out what?
Any ideas??

Manufacturers have a number of ways of making engines meet emissions requirements. Does your 2011 and the 2016 engine have different power ratings?

Improvements to the emmision control. Specs' for 2016 are lower according to a quick google and it meets euro6.
As euro6 only came in in 2015, your 2011 model couldn't be certified as that even if it did meet the requirements.
