Hi All
Any of the lancs lads fancy this??
The local Motorsport club are having an autotest this Sunday 3rd of Sept, starting at 10am through till around 4pm (break in between for lunch)
Venue is the Darwen (Blackburn) Services at J4 on the M65.
There will be two circuits this time with anything from westfields and locosts to Nissan Micras showing how agile and quick these drivers can push
them.
Quite entertaining
But there opening up the event to anyone (with a car) who wants to try the hand at this, but you will have to Join the club and sign up for the event
(about £30 altogether).
Any one brave enough to take the challenge?,
Should be good fun, come and watch, spectators are welcome and you can see whats entailed, maybe you will want to try after you seen it,
See you there?
Mitch
If its dry i think ill bring my little lad along to watch
may have a look over if i cant get any buliding done.
just thought i would post this link.
i know been seen before, but hey.

I'll be doing the event in my Sylva Striker. I did the last two there and this event is ideal for some one to have a first go. Just make sure
your handbrake works well and the button is taped down.
If you come along to compete or watch say hello.
how would I recognise you other than your Striker?.
Sounds great. I'll try and get up there meself.
Green and yellow striker. you'll see me.
well suns trying to come out, will be heading up there soon,
see you there?
Mitch
ill be there as soon as the missus returns from the car booty!

You think your a good drive and then you see them lads throwing the cars around. It was good, until it rained :-)
Got totally soaked, megabusa with no roof/screen/doors = PI$$3d wet through :-) good fun though.
032 in the wet are not safe ( fun though )

one of the lads on those lists is a chap called henry moorhouse. Entered a bolton event this year. Anyone know him? Im fairly sure (ie same name) that
its a lad i used to know, lived up on York Road. He was some sort of champion motorcross rider (the ones who ride over jcb's etc) in his youth.
Would be 25 now id guess.
must be him i think, ive just spotted his sister in there too!
Anyone know if its him?
As an aside, im fairly sure his dad enters the harewood hillclimb in a 7 type.

I turned up at about 11 but was far too wet with the little one, came back at about 1 when it stopped chucking it down, really enjoyed it so did the
little lad despite being only 2 1/2! gotta give it the the guy with the leon though i wouldnt of dared do that in mine!.
However one of the marshalls gave me a leaflet about the next meet for Auto Solo's apparently its the same as an auto test but with out all the
reversy bits, sounds interesting , i might even be tempted to give that a go.
Yeah, turned up myself, met Gav and Mitch just before he went. J30FOS, was gonna ask for a quick look round your motor but then it started to rain not long after I got there and saw you getting going, nice looking car though. Saw the Leon, was brave eh, no way I'd do it in my car would just be waiting for a prang!
wouldnt do it my new baby.
ah so that was yours! cracking looking bit of kit that
Cheers, its going to change quite a bit this winter ;-) Rain hurts at 70 :-)
Hi All
Shame about the weather, legged it when it didnt look like getting any better, then it cleared up after dinner,
But im on Nights and needed a quick kip before going in.
Will keep you informed on next one.
Mitch
Hi everyone, I spoke to the guy in the nice orange westy then went and did a test in my green and yellow striker.
It started to rain then and you all diapeared. Anyway hope you all enjoyed the event.
You all ought to try the AutoSolo on the 3rd December. All forwards and you have to drive your car to the event so has to be taxed etc, and you
don't need a competition licence just a club card.
PS. I GOT FTD.
theres no way I could drive as well as you guys.
