Busa runners, 3.09 diff sound suitable ?

What you got in yours ?

IM using a 3:38. Couldnt find a 3:14!

So a 3.09 should be fine if a tad long ?

Should be great on a motorway!

Don't think you'll notice any difference between 3.14 and 3.09

I dropped from 3.62 to 3.14, and the only difference is it holds longer in the gears, and has a marginally higher top speed at 12k .
No discernable difference in setting off etc.
Drag times and 0-60 also dropped, so acceleration is actually better, probably due to more traction.

Hi all, i have got a 3.62 and the power up to 110 mph is great then nothing, run out of revs, would like a 3.38 or what ever it is but i like to have the power its got.

I'm running a 2.25 final drive which should be good for 130 to 140 top end (subject to Cda). I have the PPC Gear chart spreadsheet with the 'Busa gear ratios plugged in. If you would like a copy please U2U your email address. All you will need to do is calculate your wheel circumference with the built in calculator, and then plug in different diff ratios to see what theoretical in gear speeds you should get.

got a 3.14 LSD in my Indy Kawasaki ZZR1400 (was 3.62) ratios on busa and 1400 very similar, giving a top speed of 137mph.
A lot better through the gears, less frantic gear changes,a bit more relaxed on motorways (Ha as if).
Pulls a lot lot better (understatement!) than the 893 blade it replaced.
