engine from ebay shop......
rodriguez - 11/9/08 at 04:33 PM

hi every1, not long on here but have decided that im goin to have a bike engine in my car. was just wondering if any1 had bought an engine from this ebay shop http://stores.ebay.co.uk/motorcycle-recycle1
I dont have a massive amount to spend, and these engines seem to go fairly cheap, but are they just bare engines. from the pics it doesnt look like theres any carbs, wiring etc wth them. ill prolly have about £500 to spend on an engine
thanks in advance

Buy a ZX9R or CBR1000 engine complete with all the bits you'll need.

You'll do an older bike engine with all the bits to run it for much less than that.

CBR1000s ZX10s etc. can be got with everything for well under £300.

My own ZX10 cost well under that. Still has 6 sequential gears and 137bhp.

P.S. Which of the Stonehouses do you live in, there's more than one

Drop Malc a line (Yorkshire Engines on here). He may just be able to help you out and will almost certainly be able to give you any advice you need.

No, no use the Swifty lump

On the motorcycle recycle shop on ebay, they also list the carbs, loom, clocks etc so keep your eye's open.

Might also be worth a call if your after a package

rodriguez - 11/9/08 at 08:50 PM

im no using the swifty lump, it was a spare engine left over from a rally car. just selling it 2 raise funds (hopefully)

You're handy for me then.

I'm in Cumbernauld but work in sunny South Lanarkshire.

Feel free to drop me a line if you want to talk bike engines and how to do it on the cheap.

Normally, newer posters are required to put capital letters at the beginning of sentences. Just on my way out actually....
