How many Luego's out there
Snuggs - 15/10/08 at 05:30 PM

Just a quick poll .

jollygreengiant - 15/10/08 at 05:49 PM

It will be interesting to see just how we compare to the last one that we did. Which was 20 months ago.
Last poll link

What I find interesting is that according to the last poll Velocities OTR out-numbered Viento's by nearly 2:1, but if you went to shows you would think it was the other way round by representation. also on the build side Velocities outnumber Viento's by nearly 3:1.

Any way that's enough analysis. I voted.

Paul (Notts) - 15/10/08 at 05:49 PM

Could people also indicate where abouts ( eg what city ) they live. This would help with planning a Luego outing next summer.

Thanks

Paul

Less hills (and rain) round these parts.....

Apologies for not making any shows this year, by the way - been a frantic year. Will certainly try harder next year!

I agree with the last post, don't give up. go and see her, talk to her gently and kindly, she will forgive you. Then pick up a spanner and crack on. It will be worth it. Mine spent nearly 2 years in the beginning doing nothing, before I got on it now I am looking at SVA sometime around January(ish). I can't wait. My biggest problem is finding time, I normally oly manage a couple of hour at the weekend, but it IS getting there.

edit bit - ......
I'm sure that if you would like a few of us could turn up one Saturday/Sunday, give you a run out in one and then get in the garage and give you a restarting hand. Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to turn up in mine till after I've got it SVA'd but I'm sure we could sort something out for you.

Welcome Brian.

Ahhhh good old West Sussex. I was born down there. 220 yards from the sea in Bognor Regis. (when you are 12 years old you don't have much choice about where you live, which is why I am here now.)

richwill - 28/10/08 at 11:29 AM

Getting towards finishing mine. Have the front lights to finish wiring and then the dash to sort out. I could do with going out for a shakedown but will need to borrow a trailer for that. I hope to finish in the new year. I will get to post some photos one day soon.

Welcome Brian...

In my Picture archive (on here) I have a lot of photos of your car, which I took to help me build mine.
They are about 4+ years old, so you may want a look to see if anything has been changed.

Cheers

Hi Repper

Don't go too much further without the diff in place - it leaves very little room for the plumbing. Also you may find that you can't fit the diff with the bottom wishbones in as it is difficult to get the bottom long bolt in place as you need the space where the forward bush of the bottom wishbone is. I ended up running the fuel hardline through a pipe gland drilled through the diff mounting plate, and had to break down the offside corner to get the diff in place.

The trick with the long bolt is not to use it. I used 2 short bolts and modified the heads so that the bolts fitted from the middle of the diff outward and the heads were held by the channel in which they sit. The nuts were then fitted from the out side.

If that makes sense. I would put up a photo, but I haven't got any.

chris_smith - 3/11/08 at 01:02 PM
