What bonnet catches are you boys using on the 7 style cars?

Rubber over centre type, supplied by MK Sportscars and others IVA friendly and secure

Protex ones on mine now, cheaper than the rubber ones taking in the cost of a new bonnet when they go 'hey, lets let go dude'

3rd bonnet on mine, won't happen again. Done!

Another one for protex here, but the sprung versions.

I too lost a bonnet to the rubber ones. They were tight when fitted in early spring, but useless in summer

Assuming that this post is aimed at a race prepped car ( It is in the racing section ) rather than a road car. Then with out doubt the best solution is good old bonnet springs . No tools required no gizmo's to go wrong just a plain straight fit that keeps it's self under tension.

I'm not worried how pretty they are but want the bonnet to stay on.

"boot springs" are what Matt is referring to. They work. End of story. They are also very cheap and very easy to install.
