want to get out tomorrow in the car but its sorn at the moment, if i was to tax it online in the morning are you allowed to drive it? or would i get nick'd for failing to display and with my luck i dont want to rish anything

You get an instant receipt when you pay tax on line, so you should be OK.

As far as i am aware, as long as the car is taxexd online BEFORE you drive the car, then you are legal
as you get an email with the times etc of the online request
So yes form me

I believe the offence is failing to display the correct tax disc. So you 'could' be done for it.

It wouldn't worry me though - it's not an endorsable offence and as long as you have actually paid for it I think you would get away with it.

You must display a disc, the only exemption is the first 5 days of the month and it must be continous taxation (i.e. the vehicle must of been taxed the previous month).

i don't bother even displaying it when i,ve got the disk now. the last couple of years its just been left in the house.
