Hi guys just a question but can you mix & match splines & ring gear ie a 4.1 ring & a 3.89 worm obviously this gives a different ratio but just wondered if its possible cheers

Afraid not, you need a matching pair.

No due to the fact that the size of the pinion and crown wheel do not change (much) across ratios the tooth pitch for each ratio is different and thus won't mesh correctly with other ratios.
