Mercedes W196R buck
obfripper - 11/2/15 at 11:05 AM

One of our customers at work has built this buck, and the deal has fallen through with his client.
If anyone has any interest in buying for a project or knows someone who is, post or pm me and i can forward his details to you.
It is a recreation of the original buck used for the short lived full bodied f1 car.

That's a work of art in it's own right - I do hope someone takes it up and produces a body from it.

Just a little update for those who might want to know some more, Ross has an article in this months (Feb 2016) Octane magazine, it has also got some photos of his 908 replica and an extended interview with him.

Its been a while since any progress had been made, a local magazine Arkadia did a recent write up that shows off the buck and Ross' other projects off from a differnt perspective to the Octane write up.

A few weeks ago Ross was contacted by the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao, who have visited to look at the buck for an upcoming Mercedes sportscars exhibition.
They were very taken by it, and have bought the buck for display use.
He's very happy with the outcome from an initially disappointing situation.
