raw striker or fisher fury
mazie - 9/10/10 at 03:46 PM

Hi all, im retiring from the dutton pheaton scene and going more modern! Ive always wanted a striker and am now in the position to buy. A fury would also be great as its the chassis im interested in as a start.

I have a budget of £7000 and am open to travelling to find the right one!
So get in touch if you are selling.

All the best.

Russ

JUST SEEN ONE ON PISTONHEADS UNDER ROAD LEGAL TRACKDAY CARS LOOKS A RIGHT MONSTER

are you wanting to build or buy a completed car?
if your building either of these i would honestly say £6k is pushing it a bit! there are not many of us who have spent less then £6k on building a kit, unless they are much much more competant than myself and can do almost everything themselves! and source cheap parts!

Have you considered a phoenix or fulcrum?

Both use striker chassis and are distributed by the "new Raw".

Just a thought.

Matt

Hi Russ!!

Get involved, love it!

I think he wants pre built and registered.

mazie - 9/10/10 at 04:52 PM

Hey buddy!!

Yes pre built and registered. 4age , pinto , zetec install.
Didn't sell the dutton, never will! The 5500 fury is sold so I've been told. Not after bike power as I will want full weather gear etc so weight will be too much for a little bike powerplant. Not considered a phoenix or fulcrum Matt so I'll be looking those up!

bi22le - 9/10/10 at 04:57 PM

Fulcrums are new and lots of money still.

Phoenix are nice cars and should be considered.

Did you put up a wanted on JPSC?

mazie - 9/10/10 at 05:01 PM

oh yeah now i remember them, too much for sure.
Ill need to buy kitcar magazine for the ads

"...Not after bike power as I will want full weather gear etc so weight will be too much for a little bike powerplant..."

It won't make any more difference to a bike engine than it will to a car engine of similar power. I can understand some reasons for not going BEC but thats not one of them.

Full weather gear does rule out a Phoenix or Fulcrum as they don't have a full screen option. Fury or Stylus is probably a better option in poor weather than a Striker.

Not necessarily. The phoenix is undergoing a transformation at the moment.

The Cyana cx500 (square chassis pheonix) had a full screen option using an elise screen, but no-one has pictures. Rainbird phoenix (round tube chassis) didn't have a full screen option.

Neither of the above are in production any more...

*However* the "new" Raw Engineering have allegedly managed to acquire the rights to the phoenix but I don't know which version....apparently all might be revealed at Exeter....

But seeing as he's looking for a built car Raw's plans are pretty irrelevant and he'd be pretty lucky to find a Cyana full screen Phoenix. How many are there?

didnt mention wipers are also going to be needed, ill be driving it up to coventry every weekend or every other so come rain or shine it will be used all year round.

points taken about the bec but for for car engined torque. Have been out in bizzle's bec before the "steering wheel incident" lol!
was very impressed.

bi22le - 9/10/10 at 07:08 PM

We do not speak of that day!!
