Hmm.. you seem to be missing the connections on the column. Where that plate has been fabricated and screwed on there should be two electrodes that contact on the two copper rings on the boss adapter and thus allow 360deg rotation of the wheel.

Editted to say, looking at the photo again the electrodes may actually be mounted at the top, its been a while since i fitted my wheel. but the principle is the same.

if im right, those 2 wires you are holding connect to the horn button.

Looks like your missing a piece, ic has afunny name, like steering clock ?.
Its the part contacts with the back of your boss, the 2 brass rings you can see.

keep it on the dash. saves a whole lot of hassle

see on the back of the boss, you have the 2 brass rings? you should have another plate with 2 sprung brass pins which sit on those rings. the 2 spade connectors plug onto those pins. i think thats how it works anyway

not sure, i think that bit goes in the top empty slot ( my pic shows column uside down...i think)

it fits in the squarish hole in the top of pic 4

the bit blocked off on yours is for the steering lock
