How must it have handled

I am replacing the springs and dampers on my striker to known quantities. The rear springs have no markings on them but as you can see compared to the new 8inch 180lbs ones they look like truck springs. I never drove it like that and wouldn't have wanted to, there was absolutely no droop at all when jacking the car up.

Bet speed bumps would have been fun! Total travel looks about 8cm!

8 cms is pretty good.

When I finished the build of my Striker I set the rear ride height to what RAW recommend and the damper length was to RAW spec and I had about 5mm of drop at the wheel! It wasn't the best of drives even after the toe/camber etc had been setup. I then fitted some extended top eyes to my Protech shocks, reset everything (ride height etc) and now I have about 40mm (I think, it may be a little more) of drop....the car feels sooooo much better

If you don't mind me asking how much did a set of Nitrons set you back and from who?

I bought the Nitron shocks used but just rebuilt and valved for a light weight car (Chevron B8). I think I paid £450 for them, not sure if it was a bargain or not but will find out in a month or so when it's finished.

They do have nearly twice as many coils as the new ones though which would halve the rate.
Chunky though, I grant you!
