I have a car with a reg plate i want to keep hold of.
How do i go about transferring the plate?
i dont want to put the Reg on another car just yet, can the plate he held?
Does the car have to have Tax and MOT ?

Yo can put the plate on retention,the form is available on download from dvla,but the vehicle must have an mot and tax,i have just done one.They do charge aswell
