Rug Doctor

NTDWM me but I rented one today from my local Co-op (other retailers also rent them) and have to say, it blew the socks off my Vax.

I thought I'd give it a go on ourlight coloured carpet after some marks wouldn't come up with the VAX - the suction (oerrrr) and beating (fnar fnar) it gave the carpet was amazing and as always with these things, the filthy water makes you feel quite annoyed (with the wife) that carpets can hold so much dirt.

£24.99 for 24 hour rental and worth every penny.

Thanks for the feedback.

Yep we have had one out twice. We did the carpets in the old house the day we moved out and the carpets in the new place a few weeks latter.

If you have pets you will be grossed out at what comes out

Yep well worth it... Just don't do it to often it will knacker the carpet... We also have a VAX not a spot on the rugdoctor.

I guess the rugdoctor is closer to the commercial machines...

We have used one and it really is money well spent.

We used one a couple of times and found them very good.

For more frequent, but less demanding use, we used to use vaxs (I have used 3 different ones) and although ok, we never found them brilliant. These days we have a Numatic George (the larger, washing version of the ubiquitous Henry), which seems better made and of more use.

I've rented them many time, and most times I've gotten really ill within a day of doing it, but its that good that I will continue to rent them in the future. Great for the furniture too.
