You ahve sevral options on location

PF International and Fulbeck the other side of teh A1. Amen Corner KArting on the outskirts of Sherwood Forest or Whilton Mill near Daventry.
at 8 yrs old he will be looking at the cadet classes. I believe they now do a 4 stroke class as well as the comer 2 strokes.

2 stroke for me every time. They are quicker and give much better driver feedback.

Go for you will have a great time. I only wish my lad was interested.

I found Streton 2000 karting to be good .Its an outdoor 800m track and caters for all ages .They are on the outskirts of Leicester and have club nights and weekend racing as well as corporate and arrive and drive karting.
The karts are twin engine prokarts and they also alow any type of kart on track if you have your own and pay about £20 for a days track hire.
