Does anybody know if its already been done and if so, does anybody have any info' or links to have a read of ?

Thanks in advance for any help

I stopped using crossflows in the late 70's, isn't supercharging one a bit like giving viagra to your great grandfather?

It most certainly has been done! There's a chap (HoraceM on the WSCC forum) with a Westfield in the Northampton area who has a supercharged 1.7 crossflow. It went on the rolling road recently.......235hp at the wheels I believe!!!

The car was on show at the WSCC outside tent on Monday at the Stoneleigh show.

What? Using a 40+ year old engine, or making a 40+ year old replica car?

Because we can!

Otherwise we might as well all go out and buy a honda civic thingy or mini cooper whatsit or perhaps a mercades something.

Yeah, but I'm building a locost because it handles better, is lighter and will go faster than those for less money.

I just dont get the rationale behind building a supercharged crossflow when you can get a zetec for free.....

It's in no way better, poorer economy, probably less power, more expensive to build, less reliable!

If youre going to the effort of supercharging at least shell out a few hundred more at the start and do a duratec or an xe or something thats not shit to start with!

If I wanted all of those things, I'd buy a production car.
