I know this dates me, but Deep Purple's Highway Star (on the big list earlier) is the best there ever has been so far. And just forget about Golden Earring's Radar Love (I never want to hear that one again). I like the Tom Robinson ones: 2,4,6,8 Motorway, and Grey Cortina (also from the long list) and have to say, Queen's I'm In Love With My Car is great too. I think Tom Robinson and Queen can be in the same sentence, don't you?

Ike Turner: Rocket 88 is also very good. He was also a good boxer, I heard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gbfnh1oVTk0

Sorry... course that's what he probably said.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Deuce Coupe buy the beach boys is a great one. I get around is another great car song by them, and features a car thats never been beat.

Not really about cars but alot of it is about driving, LA woman by the Doors Is a great car song of sorts with some engine noises in the intro and a Merc Cruising LA in the Video.

One with slightly rapey undertones, I drove all night by Roy Orbison

In a White Room, With Black Curtains, By the Station.

Lots of Brad Paiselys songs are car related. If you've never heard his stuff before then I'd recommend it, even you you don't like country music (I thought I hated it before a friend introduced me to his stuff). "Mr Policeman" is a good one.
