I had a simillar problem with that, they might let you off, or at worst you'll pay for a couple of days. Tell them what happend though and
they'll probably be able to sort it out as when I cancelled n policy a week in they said if I could prove I'd sold the car before the
policy started it would be free (I hadn't I'd sold it that day).

It looks very very like that we'll pick up the car we're now actually buying next Sunday.
Same insurance costs, so should be more or less neutral.
