Painting my nose

My car is orange with a black nosecone - The way I see it I have 3 options:

1. Does anyone have an orange indy nose to sell?

2. I get it painted orange to match the rest of the car.

3. I buy a new nose from MK.

Any advice?

Cheers,

Dan

rub it down with 600 grade wet & dry, light coats of plastic primer, sand that down smooth with 1200 grade w&d. Once the primer is not patchy, apply several light coats of orange paint (halfords will have one that is very close). A week later go over it with some rubbing compound, then original T-cut, 6 weeks later polish it.

Buy a new orange nose-cone from MK and sell the black one to offset some of the cost.

Cheers all.

What could I realistically expect to get for a 2nd hand black nosecone?

Change the nosecone after you've buried into the wall at Quarry (Combe), lost it into the metalwork after the Mountain (Cadwell) or any other well-known event horizon.
You can also change the wheels/radiator/front chassis at the same time to suit.

happy days and lots of not so happy evenings in the garage putting it right.
