I didnt think my lathe would do it but it has just about

They are gsxr 750 Tb to Dcoe manifold adapters.

The centers are tappered and still need to be hand ported and polished up.

I really want a mill as I hate cutting and sanding the sides

Just the other three to go when I get some time.......................

i assume he didnt think to take a pic of the block of ally before machining the part so took a pic of both bits after, with the block being a bit for one of the other ones to be made

Very nice - but did you consider welding a bit of thick walled tube to a flange?

Looks sweet mate, I wish I had enough patience but I know if I'd made it, it would function but not look anyway near as nice.

Spot on Miks.

I had thought about a steel tube welded to a flange but its not very neat. And my lathe doesnt like steal over about an inch dia.

The four bits of alloy came up on yes you have guesed it, ebay . Cheap as they all had a hole through them

My lathe is tiny so I can only take small cuts. So its taken about eight hours to do that one to that stage.

I am pleased with the results but wouldnt want to go into production

bolt the turned part down to cross slide at centre height, end mill in lathe chuck, mill sides of flange in minutes.
