bike carb air filter??????????

HI Guy's
i have a set of GSXR9 carbs fiited to my 1.8 Zetec engine. but due to spacers that have been fitted between the carbs so they will fit the inlet manifold, the std air filter no longer fits. what do i do???

Don't bother with filters. Just put a gauze mesh over the carbs to stop stones, birds etc being sucked into the engine

Apart from engine wear issues, mesh can also severely restrict airflow.
