ford transit rad fan
did the mk4 transit have an electric fan? or were they all those viscous coupling fans?
what years were the mk4 transits? when i search on google, it the pictures are always like the pictures of all models

Yep they're all viscous units Mk3,4,5.
All my tow barges (including the current crusty Mk5) have had no issues with them, so I guess they're fairly reliable.
To remove, you'll need to grind down a spanner to get at the nut.
Pretty much unchanged 1986-2000. Various chassis weights, rear diffs/axles, but essentially all is pretty much interchangeable with a welding torch
and grinder.
I'm still at the Mk5 era (one of the last 2000 models), but when the chassis finally drops to bits on that (give it another month or two, or
when the 7 is sitting on the road unattached), the Mk6 units 2001-2 are now looking 'affordable'.
