Spitfire type kit
Not sure if this is the best place for this, but my other half wants to help build a car, but she dosen't like my mnr
she would like something like a spitfire, with doors and a windscreen, however i'd rather not restore a rotten rust heap but build something
from new any suggestions??

Maybe a Fury or a Stylus.
There's always the tifosi rana too - sure you'll have to tackle a rusty midget chassis, but the majority of the car will be replaced with
grp panels.

How about Zetec powered MGB, just finished and MOT'd mine, but being 6'4", the top screen rail is right in my line of sight!!!! so its
up for sale.

What about a Stryker type car?
Like Jasper's but slightly less flambe'd!
Very civilised with heated screen and door etc. But nice and light and fun too!
Cheers,
James

Bit older style i know but i spotted a TR3 kit in a kitcar mag whilst waiting for the Mrs to get some shopping, it looked fantastic - if your other
half likes that style of car.

TR3 kit wasat Stafford, looks really nice,
however, how about going for more of a sensible
sports saloon type car, be able to use it all year
round. Marcos style of some sort ?

My favourite would be the Autotune Gemini

But the Caburn Hurricane might fit the bill

If it was me, and I'm mighty tempted, it would one of THESE!
Or, a TR6, everything available from Rimmer Brothers and the Heritage motor company.

Not a Spitfire I know, but actually quite a nice looking motor.
It looks like the Midget is winning at the moment......

I saw that TR3 - I wouldnt drive one , the chassis is appalling (absolutely no strength or bracing in the front , I wouldnt be surprised if it
snapped off at the bulkhead after a few thousand miles)
The Fury can be built to be quite civilized , but the Stylus already is - it has deeper doors , a better hood - and a boot .
Its cuz I is blond , innit

J15 is a bit lacking in the door department, going back to the original specification.
