Expanded Neoprene

Hello, you guys never cease to amaze with the help you provide so here goes.

I need some expanded neoprene foam at least an inch thick and about a foot square.

Tried ebay, nothing I can see

Anyone have any laying around?

If its the stuff im thinking of, a model shop should have small bits of it if your near one. (like a dense rubbery foam?)
or maybe a garden centre knealing mat?

Might have a sheet in garage - it is softer than the kiddies float stuff but is closed cell foam- possibly plastozate, will measure when I send the dog to bed and report back

I need to build a custom vacuum box like this

They are for detecting pin hole leaks in weld seams.
soapy water on the seam will bubble in the vacuum if there is a pin hole

its like a bowl of water to find a puncture but in reverse

i'm after some to put between the awesome stack of speakers i'm building up. to help dampen vibrations.

needs to be the kind of stuff you can easily squish between your thumb and finger. pool float stuff is too hard

What, using a puncture to find a bowl of water ? If you find a cardboard box factory they use sheets of it behind the forms on die press machines.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Hmm what not fill the box with some parrafin with some fluroscene dye in it and slosh it about?

Just a thought!
