turning the chain sprocket the other way?

hi

toying with a BEC idea but due to space id either need to extend the thread that the chain sprocket goes on so it clears the gearbox (length will vay between engines) OR is there a way to make the sprocket rotate the other way around??

yes you can move it outboard easy enough, outrigger or 3rd bearing support setup,

or

easy home build way would be to jackshaft it, so you have short chain run to a sprocket on a shaft, other end of that shaft at required distance is your sprocket for final drive, this also gives you a wide range of adjustments





heavy is good, heavy is reliable, and if it breaks, hit them with it
