Photo Issues

Whats with the over the top LCB logos on several photos (but not on others) Thumbnail pics are fine but full size some are completely un-viewable.

Eg: http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/photos.php?action=showphoto&photo=2Spitfires%20XJ%20and%20XZ%20229sqn%20Malta.jpg

I thought it was someone's clever trickery on their photos. But I now realise that something is wrong.

Bingo!

try this:

Test
Test

That image in anythig less than 640 x 480 as I originally posted it 640 x 361 gives the Locost overprint 640 x 480 does not even altough you can still see the 640 x 361 image with the canvas size increased.

I have tried all sorts of things and this is the key symptoms of the problem.

OK, I think it's fixed now. Slight change in syntax in ImageMagick 6 it seems. I've purged the cache of all images created since the server move so they will all get re-generated as required without the funny background breakthrough.

Thanks for all that Chris, much appreciated.

However, for the past few days I have noticed that I seem to be getting randomly only half height photos and avatars displaying. ????????? Mostly when an image is displayed I only get to see the top half of the photo with the bottom half coming up blank ??????????????

I've not spotted that? Can you post a screenshot? Also, what connection are you using? ie broadband, mobile broadbrand, or some other..?

Hi Chris. I am using broadband via virgin media with their 60Mb service on their fibre cable system, my 'puter is a dell inspiron N5050. When I clicked on the image in my archive just now all I could see of it was about a quarter inch of the locostbuilders banner overlay although I could make out the image (just due to size) in the small icon

the screen shot should show partial avatars. system is windows 7 running firefox with kapersky AV. hope this helps.

edit bit:- 09:29hrs sunday morning and on my computer the screen shot should finish two lines above "the screen shot" but it only shows to the bottom of the first post.

[Edited on 2/12/12 by jollygreengiant]

2nd edit bit:- 09:29hrs sunday just had a look on same 'puter using google chrome and avatars are randomly there or not and the screen shot was also just a small icon showing that there should be a picture but it wasn't displaying.

screenshot of what i get.

what i actually see in the box does seem to vary each time i look at a picture but i rarely see the picture correctly.
avatars affected as well.
running windows 7 and firefox

edit. just refreshed the page and now i can see all of the screenshot in jollygreengiant's post, tried again and its just a big grey box.
my own image is showing correctly every time.

Photo pop-ups are not working in Firefox on my computer and if I click on them they don't show in the gallery either, just gives the link address. They are working in Chrome though.
