Ken Wallis has passed away
http://www.edp24.co.uk/news/wing_commander_ken_wallis_dies_at_the_age_of_97_post_your_tributes_1_2365526
Watching Little Nellie as a kid had a big impact on me and my interest in aviation. I'm sad that we lost one of the aviation pioneers.

What an incredible man
Those of us that are 40-plus looked upto this guy (and many like him) -it's hard to believe that today's role models are footballers and X
Factor judges who have no idea what an autogyro or Wellington Bomber are

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

Took a trip in a gyro-copter (auto-gyro but rotor powered for STO) a couple of years ago.
About as much fun as you can have.
Thanks, Ken.
Cheers, Pewe10 .
PS talking about generational I didn't realise until this weekend that the late David Jacobs was one of the voices on Journey into Space -
thanks, David.
