MK front splitter. Bars or not
I've just finished making this carbon splitter which I'm really happy with but can't decide if it needs tie bars to finish it off or
will they ruin it. I'm thinking of getting these. I
leave it up to you guys to decide for me. No pressure.

If you can get away with it - i.e. it doesn't flex too much then it looks better without IMHO
"That thing you're thinking - it wont be that."

Not a cheap way to do it but you could buy then, bluetak them in place to see what they look like! Or photoshop if you know hoi
Why do it the easy way, when I can do things my way!

Splitter looks awesome. The bars aren't cheap but I do quite like the look of them.

I think it was Racecar engineering, did a test with a full size splitter, I think it generated 150-200 Kg of force over it's width.
Your splitter is 1/3 the size so 50kg say, would you feel comfortable with a kid standing on it?
But your right it does look better without the stays.
Regards Dan.

If you decide to go for them it's worth checking out bottle screws from a maritime supplier.

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

Mine doesn't have any and is absolutely fine without flex. I even bought some support bars but never fitted them as i decided they were too much
hassle to line up and fit. Turns out they weren't needed ;-)

Sorry but not a chance. It's completely custom made and took ages to make. It's about 15mm thick and shaped to fit around the nose cone
and wings so the floor level stays the same all the way under the car. Looking at it again I think I agree with the majority and will get some bars
ordered up.

I can't see a 15mm thick carbon splitter bending, the mounting bolts would fail first.
