help with leaking roof please

I've just bought a house for my youngest daughter. Its a victorian terrace house with a pitched roof angled front to back as usual seperated to the other properties by parapet wall. The slates are of artificial type and it looks like they are sat on aluminum angle as a soaker. The parapet wall has a bell cast to cover the edge of the slates.
The felt is a bit shagged. Its leaking at the wall/roof joint. How would the angle be fitted?

If you could get a picture posted up of the offending wall, from the outside would make it easier to see what kind of set up you have.
