Recommended jet six
Evening all
Can anyone recommend me the jet size for my pinto zx9r conversion?
It's a 2.1 by the way.

I did bike carbs on a zetec
Mines on 1.8mm and its running great
I know pintos are a bit more thirsty
What i did was buy a modellers drill bit kit, drilled them out to 1.6-tried it , then 1.7 etc till i got it right
I then bought a set of jets in the size ide drilled them to give as good a spray pattern as poss
Theyre weber dgav jets so less than a tenner for all 4
This was the easiest way without buying loads of jets
Well worth the faffing imo , transformed the car

most folk seem to start around 1.6mm and see how it goes from there
I think that's whats in mine, bogg bros did them for me as there best first guess to get the engine running with a trip to there rollers planned
for when the cars on the road

Most model drills can be way out ...
Always use a vernier - measure them them for their true size.

Thanks for the advice.
I'll have to have a play around and go from there. I'm going to have it set up on rollers anyway.

it always pays to check them - but as a general rule the better brands will have better tolerances and last much longer than the cheap nasty made in
China stuff
the good ones may cost £1 - £2 each, but you only need 3 or 4 drills
