2014 CBR1000RR
Hi all,
I'm putting a 2014 CBR1000RR into an MNR, however the bike I have has a damaged dash (digital type)
I can get another replacement, but was curious if these dashes have some sort of link to the original ECU or HISS system,
or can I just plug it in?
Has any one had any experience?
Regards
Brad

Probably not much help for you as they change over the years but mine is 2007 and a dash from a different bike worked fine.

You have two choices to avoid limp home problem with speed sensor
1 fit a set of clocks from the same model and year (I have a set if you need them)
2 do away with the clocks but install an I dependent power supply to the speed sensor - do not use 12volts to it
The speed sensor gets its power from the clocks - it is not 12volts
If the ecu sees no speed signal (pink/green wire) it goes limp home - 30percent rich
Hope that helps

OK now for my next question this time re fuel pumps
The 2014 fuel pump has a round mounting face, the tank that came with the car has the older style oval mounting (it came without the pump).
My question is ,will the older pump be able to feed the newer motor at required rate/pressure?
