Bristol Steel Suppliers?
I'm just in the process of finishing off the garage in preparation for moving the car down here from Reading.
One of the last jobs I have is to build a very strong workbench for engine dismantling and other bits and bobs.
I'm going to weld up an L shaped frame and mount it to the wall, but I need a good (read cheap) supplier of steel for this purpose.
Anyone know of any good suppliers in the Bristol area!?
Any help'd be much appreciated!
Chris.

Try Durbins at Yate. I got a sheet of Ally 2M by 1M for £15. They were also very helpful.
Contact details below.
Durbin Metal Industries Ltd, Unit 0, Lawrance Drive, Stover Trading Estate, Yate, BS37 5PG, 01454 322668

Although I have not used them (yet), they are local to Bristol.
http://www.bristolsteel.co.uk/
I would be interested to know if they are competitive.

I have obtained a quote from 'BristolSteel' and found them very expensive in all areas. Material, cutting & delivery.
I ended up using a supplier from Portishead.
