Winter engine swaps
What do people have planned for the winter? Plenty of people go CEC to BEC - is anyone going BEC to CEC?

Not sure if you're only asking about BEC/CEC swaps...
but I'm thinking of whacking a Zetec into my Pinto'd car.
Cheers,
James

Standard pinto 1.6 to modded 2.0 on twin 40's.
Hoping to notice the difference.

I'm fitting an XE to my thin-air engine'd car this winter, does that count?

CEC to SCCEC (Rotrex) last winter but I'm looking to either fit a smaller SC or a restrictor and limit boost so I can use more of the rev range
this winter. I suspect my BGH gearbox could do with a refresh as well.

Hey Justin,
so you're tired of the power now?
anyway what rotrex is on now? (c30?, i need a C38 prefferably) if you're replacing I might be interested in yours.
ps can't you do with a bigger SC pulley?

Hi Thomas,
I'm using the biggest pulley they do on the C30-94! OMEX had a go with a C30-74 on a similar setup and achieved 238BHP @ 8600RPM but the blower
wasn't working till 5000RPM. Makes sense as the C30-94 uses the same internal gearing but turns a bigger fan
I'm letting OMEX do the leg work now as mine is working fine apart from running out of legs a bit quick only revving to 7200RPM. Next step for
them is lower compression forged pistons, rods and aiming for 350BHP based on my power graph.

Im tempted to swap my pinto out but not really sure what to. with 45s and setup properly it should be a lot better.
