I use the Cortina MK5(=Taunus Mk3) joint on the rack as the sierra one didn't fit. Then the rest is from the Sierra.

The ball-joint left and right are the sierra ones (M14). Maybe someone know if they are the same as the cortina/escort ones.

Manual steer sierra will fit, but power steer will not.

The down side is that the non power sierra one has a cast section and the power has MS tube which is ideal for welding. I drilled out the rivets and replaced with 8.8 M6 bolts so I unded up with the power down shaft and the non power clamp on the steering rack.

hmmm, strange my 1989 sierra shaft didn't fit on the steering rack of the Mk2 escort. And the sierra didn't have power steer.

Are there different types then?
