Dont think so...

If you spend over £25 you can have them delivered to a store for free.....

I just ordered two....no more freezing nights in the garage

Just bought a couple online £17.35 in total, only 4.odd postage, same fee to collect in store. Doesn't say whether they are on the shelves or not.

wonder what the input wattage is?

It says the ouput is 1200W....given that you dont get energy from nowhere, I would hazard a guess that input would be similar...

If so, im going to end up looking like a roast duck after an hour in the garage....bring on the tin foil hat

Its a toughy...

Given that most are only 500w...and are mounted under parasoles etc.... They usualy heat quite a large area.....about 1.5 pub patio tables...

So twice as much power, twice as much heat....

If you could get it high enough I recon one would be enough to "warm" you up in the garage....

I bought two for a double garage...my logic being that, any heat is better than none!

At £6 each if you've got too many, you dont need to switch them all on, not a lot to have as spares...

Actually is says the output is 1200KW. Thats 1.2 MEGA watt. The whole street will look like roast ducks.

Don't think I could afford the electric bill!!!

It should be 1200Watts or 1.2KW

anyway 3 of them connected all up are 3.6KWH

thats 3.6 x costs of 1 kwh per hour..

sow if one 1kwh costs 18p then 54p per hour..

5hours = 2,7pound...
(5x 54p)

Tks

p.s. also the max on a 16amp socket is (at 230Volts)

16*230 = 3680Watts
minus the 3600 the heaters take...
that leaves you 80watts

sow you will need 2 groups in the garage...

These things are radiant so the closer you are the smaller area the cover and the hotter you feel. they are just like lights so if they cover the area where you are working you will be warm!

I thought about getting one.

Then I realised that if I work hard enough I don't get cold.

just to second what tks says, think about your supply before cramming a few in. Ive seen a lot of shady electrics where cables would melt before the fuse would blow.

I want that for melting powdercoat, too. A heat gun doesn't really work I've found - too small an area at a time. Also it has a fan in it, which just blows the powder away. Now I just need to find one in Canada!
