Mersea island hot rod show.

Just found out its the Hot rod show at mersea island scout ground on sunday the 1st of june.

Just been looking into this and a word of warning!
this Sunday high tide is at 10.38am so you need to avoid that time because the causeway will be flooded and you cannot get across!

Apparently if you leave it about an hour either side you should be OK (turns out my boss was brought up on the isalnd!)

Did anyone else go in the end?I went after lunch but didnt see any other se7ens there,pretty good show though.

I didnt make it
SWMBO had to work this mornign and didnt finish til 1... when she got in I managed to convince her to come out but not as far as Mersea
In the end we went towards Woodbridge - I let swmbo drive and she took a roundabout in third gear.... full throttle and about 700rpm... flooded the
engine halfway uo the following hill and ended up being towed up the hill to safety by Plod...
when I worked what had happened and got it running again everything was fine...
we went on to Milsoms restaurant for sunday lunch and felt quite good pulling up in front of a posh country house in the Tiger....

Til we walked round to the front and found 2 helicopters parked on the lawn! talk about being upstaged!
