I have a water temp sencor which has two spade type connections
Is one Live and the other an Earth which just wants earthing to the chassis?
If so does it matter which one you Earth
Thanks

Yes, one is ground the other is signal. If it's for a gauge just ground it anywhere but if it's a sensor for an ECU then ideally you
should take the earth back to the ECU as well as the signal. It doesn't matter which way round you wire them, the sensor is a simple resistor.
