Works for me and I don't have an account.

Looking good.

You need to lower the seat, your eyeliner is straight through the windscreen surround

Never mind that, the windscreen is missing

Only kidding, looking really great avagolen, but snapper does make a good point (especially when you fit the mirror)

Seat height is a problem.

I am only 5'10" but I have a long back

Seat is temporarily on runners so Mr IVA can get in.

Even without them as the passenger seat is leaves me too high.

I may have to lower the floor.....

Or get a reclining seat.

I had a similar problem with Cobra type seats in my Westfield and bought JK Composite fibreglass seats, which are very comfortable and light. They drop you down at least a couple of inches. I also have them in my Fury with runners, but in hindsight shouldn't have bothered with the runners as they raise the seat, and have never had to move it.

I fitted a suction mirror to the bottom of the screen, so now I can see where I'm going

avagolen - 14/6/14 at 10:07 AM

Is there a specific model of jk seat that fits?

I am definitely intetested in getting a good seat.

sjmatthews - 14/6/14 at 12:10 PM

I fitted N3742, but there is room in the chaasis for a little wider. I'm 33-34" waist and they are fine for me.

Thanks. I will give them a call.

adithorp - 14/6/14 at 01:16 PM

Have a measure of the screen frame. They tend to sag in the middle and make it difficult to fit the screen. In the middle it should be about 19 1/2" across to the outside of where the screen will fit. If not leave it with props in pushing the top up.

Agree with the others that you'llbe better off with bare GRP seats. If they're still compfy with just a thin padding, if they're a good fit .

avagolen - 14/6/14 at 05:27 PM

Thanks Adithorp,

I have had the screen supported for a while now. The glass fits quite well.

I have always thought I would have a problem getting a seat to suit me well.

My plan was to get it through IVA and then drive to JK or some of the seat suppliers and try different seats.

As long as Mr IVA is happy with what I have......

sjmatthews - 14/6/14 at 05:53 PM

If they are Cobra seats, you *may* have an issue with them for IVA. Have good read of the manual and a measure up, just in case.

avagolen - 14/6/14 at 06:01 PM

Thanks. They are not cobra seats.

I purchased them from a fellow lcb builder who sold of
His kit before completion. He purchased them from one of the
Kit car shows.

The measurements just exceed the iva minimum.

As long as Mr IVA's rule is the same as mine.
