Your reminder if you've got it or V5. Also the dvla website seems to say you need the MOT certificate, but other people have said they didnt need it.
In theory insurance, mot
Although if the Databases show you as insured and MOT'd, I'm not sure you even need those nowadays. Not walked into a PostOffice and done it
in years (oooerr..)
I have just been tonight to get mine done and all I needed was the V5, apparently the law changed December 2013 meaning that insurance documents and
mot wasn't needed anymore.
Matt
Taxed my car at the post office a month ago. Took the reminder, MOT and insurance. Was told only need the reminder now.
Thanks guys looks like I will go too. The ball.
I took mine off SORN at the beginning of April. All the PO wanted was the V5. Presumably the system checks MOT and insurance status automatically from the DVLA.
It said on my reminder what i needed to take with me,underneath the prices if i remember right
Took mine off SORN yesterday and taxed at the post office. They INSISTED on V5, Insurance & MOT! Grrrr. Sorted now.
Took ours off SORN last week. Only needed V5.
I vote for uneducated post office staff at my end.
I went to tax mine at the beginning of April, It's been off the road for 20 years! All they wanted to see was the Insurance cover note as it hadn't been entered on the Insurance Data Base
Taxed mine with just new keeper slip at the post office. Didn't ask for anything else.
