Nice - I think I'd need a larger bench to put it on, but as a keen cyclist I really like the idea of a belt driven bicycle...

It's the abrasive consumable that concerns me. For that bike sprocket, it's 186 minutes of cutting. According to the specs, it uses 150g per min, or 25kg for the full cut. Based on a random Ebay price it would cost £70 for the abrasive. That seems expensive, although to be fair I have no frame of reference.

Is it not like sand blasting where you re-use the abrasive?

The Chinese will steel the plans and knock them out at half price once the development has been paid for. Better to wait for 3 weeks and get one off ebay
