It was exactly the same as my blyton sprint lap frank!

That is because that Sunday driving Miss Daisy type of driving always sends me to sleep

Hi all,
This is my first post so be gentle,
I too would like to thank Frank for chance to take part, it was a great day and my first proper trackday in my 4xv r1 powered MEV tR1ke.
For me the best bit was the great variation in cars, just fantastic really.
Here's a couple of clips from the day if the link works.

Lol,
It's the biker in me, left hand clutch and left foot gearchange, 1st back then 2nd to 6th forward.
There's much better feel from the clutch than when I had the normal settup plus it stops all my car driving mates from wanting a go

I was palying with two cameras so this is my first attempt at a comperlation, not check the rest of the footage yet.
Fury YoTube Clip1
More of a wee take of Martin in his new Fury
I had been (not) chasing you but not making much ground. Then just as I almost caught you, I realised you were on your cool-down lap so I came in too so folks thought I was doing the same.....
Just spotted this on one of Frank's vids.. there's usually not a lot to hit if you go off at Blyton..

I didn't know Owelly had an off there
Flying as usually Adi I really need more power starting to get jealous of all these 1000 bike engines
I spin up that inside left rear on that start corner all the time aswell when it unloads.

My excuses are as follows:
First time out in the car since the build
First time on the track in a kit car
I'm fat
My car over heats
Gears didn't work properly.
Oh n my nose was running a little.
That said I "estimated" my lap time at 1:12"
[Edited on 21/9/14 by jossey]
Actually Adi, I did go off on that corner. Which is why they red-flagged the session to tow the tractor out of the way.
My excuses start at the front of the Turd, and end at the rear. It still stands me at less than £600. It's hard to see why it's cost more
than £4.

I think i should probably make some futile racing driver esque excuses for Martin, as I did put the fear of god into him when he collected the car about having to heel and toe otherwise you lock the rear wheels, pulling too many gears on the downshift and over-revving, etc, etc.
Excuses in order:
First time driving the car
Missus in the passenger seat slowing me down
Couldn't see the apex over the bonnet bulge (that's a short joke in disguise Martin )
etc.
That said "Miss Daisy" does seem quite appropriate considering the excellent weather conditions and sparsely populated track
I had a full tank sorry
Thanks Tim! Yes I did have the wife next to me, I had to lean forward to see over the bulge in the bonnet when turning left and half the time I was guessing the gear, and I locked the rear brakes from over use 'smoking' but towards the end of the session I was getting the hang of it, less braking and smoother lines.... No spinning! Spot on car Tim thank you
