Match tyres per axle or per side for track days

I think I know where this is going to lead but let's try it.

I have just bought some new R888R rubber and will get them.on as my primary rubber, no questions here.

But the aging R888s coming off have seen a fair few track days. 2 on the left are shot, 2 on the right are ok tread wise.

My back up wheels have aging A048s. Again, 2 on left shot and 2 on right are ok.

I know it's "best" to have tyres matching on each axle for predictability and legality but tracks seem heavy on the left tyres, fitting the better tyres on the left seems appropriate if they get the most load and TBH it will be a right pain to explain to a tyre fitter what the plan is if I'm matching axles.

Matching tyres on axle for me

Swap side to side , may mean dismount/remount the tyres though if directional.

I would have to have matched tyres on each axle, not different on each side,
If you put the better ones on the side that wears the most, after a few laps you will have slicks on all four corners

They are directional.

DEF THIS.
But good call to get the last use out of them and worth it if you get them changed for cheap
