SWMBO wants to drive a TANK!
SWMBO has got a BIG birthday coming up so I want to get her a tank trackday prezzie.
Is there anywhere in the South East that does this kind of thing? All I can find are companies that are a bit further North than I'd like.
Cheers,
Raz

Get along to the Tank Museum at Bovington...
http://www.tankmuseum.org/
You can do an experience day there. No idea on prices, but its a fantastic day out.
Took my 2 sons and daughter and even my wife enjoyed it. Well not enough for us to go again, but she did enjoy while we were there.
If I was going to do a driving day it would be there.
ETA: if you need to camp over there is a really nice site about 2 miles away...
http://www.longthornsfarm.co.uk/
and when you go to sleep you can hear the tanks on the local range. They even thunder along the road at the edge of the camp site. Great place.

There's a place near me in Winchester/Hampshire that does it - probably still a bit too far though?

If you end up driving north, there is a place near leicester that does tank paintball - you get in teams of three and get to 'attack'
another tank who's trying to hit you.
They also have other things you can drive.
(nb technically its not a tank your driving, its an armoured personel carrier with a 25mm cannon or something but it looks like a tank, drives like a
tank and fires a big cannon like a tank...... its a tank to me).
