Newbie

Hi all
I have been lurking in the background for a long time now, finally made the leap today and paid the deposit.

Building a Indy R with inboard front suspension and Hayabusa engine.

Bad part is due to work commitments I have to get somebody else to screw it together with me doing as much as possible when I am home

Fleet
SKC Raptor R - Hayabusa
Toyota C-HR Hybrid Limited Edition
Honda VFR1200 CrossTourer
DCT
Marlin Roadster 1800
Mercedes Vito 116 Sport

Welcome to the funny farm
Good luck with your build. That engine should be yummy and the whole package should be a blast.

You can get Andy on Facebook also.

Shop is based in North Berwick

I think his prices for labour are very reasonable.

I'm looking for a builder too as I work away a lot and don't have the time to devote to a build full time. Don't want to leave the car at the factory as I want to take time with the build and looking for a understanding builder. Is this the SKCC shop? I thought they were based in the west? Heard reports about the SKCC not being all that nice but no personal experience of them! Prefer someone closer to home - anyone know of any decent builders in the NE Scotland?

I am not sure of SKCC shop on the west coast but as far as customer service Andy is very understanding and patient. He is as enthusiastic about the build as I am. His workshop is near North Berwick so very easy to get to.

He will take on anything and assist with deliveries etc.

His main business is Hifloheads so has a lot of tuning ability along with access to one of the best rolling roads that use hub bolted system. Next door to him is a powder coaster so no problems on that front either.

He was recommended to me by some friends in the Scottish Westfield owners club who have a lot of respect for him

Andy is also a technical writer for the kit car mags.

I found him, thanks pal. Appears that there's 2 SKCCs, 1 is a club and the other is a garage but I don't think they're connected. I'll do a little more digging and contact them. Cheers.
