Which wideband lambda controller?
I'm looking for a wideband lambda controller to interface with my ECU. I don't want a gauge as I'll do the logging through the ECU.
I've read that some people have had problems with their Innovate but this seems to be the early ones?
Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks Rob

Have a look at the Spartan from 14point7 link even coming from the US its cheaper
than anything else on the market.

Wow, I've never even heard of those before. Have you got any experience with it? It does seem a lot cheaper than the alternatives.

14point7 started making the JAW wideband, I made the mistake of buying one of them..... It's now covered in dust dumped in the garage, wish I
had spent double the money on something worth while.
It may be fine, my experience was poor.

Lots of people bad-mouth the LC1 but I've had half a decade of good use out of one used on a daily driver and I know they're widely used
in research engine labs.

+1
My innovate LC-1 has been fine.
Regarding 14point7 one above, check it comes with a sensor as the bosch ones are 40-50quid on their own.

Just to balance things out my innovate lc1 and xd16(?) gauge died after about 18mths and notbvery many miles. Still works but reads ridiculous values.
Not had time to figure out which bit is dead but not overly impressed..

+1 My innovate LC1 has been brilliant. 2 years since IVA and still going strong!

Thanks for all the replies. Still finding it difficult to decide. I have been tempted by the innovate but reading online there really are mixed views
that mirror peoples' experiences on here.
Are there any that people haven't had problems with? I don't mind spending a bit extra if it means that it will work (not very locost I
know).

I have the Innovate MTX-L which is around £140-150 and does me fine. It is one of the only gauges and controllers that is water proof/resistant for
use on things like motorcycles, that's why I got it for my buggy and have driven in rain with no problems.
If you don't want a gauge then the LC1 is ideal, probably the same internals as my MTX-L and it has done me good for 2 years, sensor has been
fine when my turbo has passed some oil and smoked like mad.
Food for thought

I don't run a WB Lambda (or narrow band for that matter). Been completely reliable over many years! When the car is mapped the company mapping
it use their WB Lambda to do the mapping...so I don't see the point unless you are mapping your ECU on the fly.

I've been using an AEM wideband including gauge for the past year and seems great, use the analog output ino the megajolt for logging. They do
also have a standalone controller but is virutally the same price as the gauge!

Just to throw into the mix.... I've got (and very happy with) a Techedge 2J9 from http://wbo2.com/. I did have JAW from 14point9, but it was
unstable and I gave it away.
