Cool or not?

Got a strange hankering for one - with a better chassis and engine - oh and bigger wheels

cool or not
cool or not

They used to make replica body kits for a £k or so surely 2 or 3£k would get it on the road?

You'd be surprised how quickly the sales people at B&Q try and assist you after ignoring you for the past 15 minutes when you try and start a chainsaw

£20k???

Good grief - the body moldings are only £1500 and the original chassis is about as crude and simple as they get. The only snag is the pedals are in front of the axle - ouch! But that can be changed.

What sort of engine do you think - a Busa or R1 might be a bit too much power for the roadholding of something that only weighs a few hundred kg.

A nice smooth 4 or 6 pot with 50 or 60 hp and a good spread of torque would be nice, oh yes it would need a slick gearbox too .

Whats out there?

Cheers!

Loved em when I was a kid in the late 50s/60s and still do to this day, a guy next door to us had the 4 wheeled tiger, there where 4 bubble cars in our street plus a bond a 3 wheeled box van thing that you steered with handle bars like an auto rickshaw and a 3 wheeled Morgan. The Morgan was the star in my eyes has been ever since.

Cheers,
Bob

Very very cool, not sure why, but it reminds me of my very early meccano and it aint the colour as mine was green and red with brass cog's. It must be the holes?

A suzuki Burgman scooter engine would be good in one of those, 400cc twist and go .Yamaha also do a 650cc twin twist and go scoot.
Denis.

Where did that go?
