There was a few big incidents that day,a Megane on its roof at the end of start/finish straight, and a Civic had a big impact on the inside coming out
of the same bend
It's a 918 Fireblade. I was up in garage 23, next door to the 2 blue Clio's.
There were a lot of car/barrier interfaces - more than I've ever seen on any track day - don't really understand it, although it was
November the track was dry and grippy from the 1st laps - not even bum-twitchy under the trees at Druids!
I was just coming back with a coffee when the Megane was bouncing onto it's roof!
Not 100% sure what the bent seven was - I know there were a couple of Caterham's there and I think it was one of those, but can't
be 100% sure, I didn't spend a lot of time kicking tyres (had a few friends with me so I was playing taxi for most of the day - this video was
pretty much my only solo session). The front of the chassis was in good shape though, certainly from a driver protection perspective, so they tyre
barrier did a good job of absorbing and protecting the driver.
Bonnet catches are pinned now, so losing the bonnet should be a thing of the past

There was a nice yellow BEC Westfield there
Is the crashed one the same one you were following when you locked up in video?
I think they are different. The one in the lockup is orange I think, and the one that crashed looks to have black wings. I have other footage I
haven't posted so can have another shuftie.
That looks about right - looks like you can see the bonnet stripe in the video too.
Did you notice how the recovery van took pleasure in parading the broken cars all the way around the paddock, even if he was dropping them off at the
pit entry!!
I think that's Grieg McArthurs old Megabusa? .. I think he posts on hear now and again. He now has the maroon / yellow Caterham 620R which I
believe was there too.
Hope there were no injuries, although I cant think the car would be nice to look at afterwards.
