Evening all,
I'm at the stage now where I need to start thinking about my dash. I haven't got a lot to spend, but I'd like to use an 'off the
shelf option'.
I've looked at these after I've seen them mentioned in the forum:

Does anyone have any experience of the quality? I've read that ABS dashes are likely to warp in the sun. Thoughts?
Cheers, Chris
Make one from MDF and cover it in wrap, much cheaper.

I'm using moisture resistant MDF, slight green colour but doesn't matter once covered. The wrap will also help.

I used thin wbp ply which is water resistant then to get an IVA curve on the bottom edge cut a rainwater down-pipe vertically and pop riveted it onto the bottom edge then covered the whole thing in carbon fibre wrap (sticky backed plastic really). Very cheap and looks surprisingly effective
As above use external ply and to make the rounded edge glue a baton flush on the bottom edge of the dash and then a half round moulding and cover with carbon fibre sheeting to make a very smooth rounded edge.
I made mine from MDF and some scrap plastic plumbing pipe from B&Q. I went slightly complicated by making an angle in it to give me more
clearance for the gear stick, but not really necessary. Just paint it to seal it and then cover it in faux leather.
