I've decided I'd like a bigger knob (fnar, fnar).

I'm wondering if there is someone on here who in return for some beer tokens would turn me one in alloy?

I'm looking for a pretty simple shape either like a ball or quaife style gear knob shape but about 50mm diameter with a M12 x 1.75 thread.

one of my builder mates made a 16" one out of finishing plaster! it was a work of art. ill see if hes still got it.

A pool ball is around 2", round and cheap. Just not alloy.

I used an 8 pool Ball on my V8 Viento.

Easy.. Drill Hole in ball the size of the lever.
Warm the lever with a blowlamp.
Smear Hot Melt Glue on lever.
Push Ball onto lever.

Removal - heat lever pull off ball.

DO NOT fill the ball with HMG then try to put it on the lever.
The Lever is far too cold and will set the glue before you can get it on far enough.

Believe me... I've tried both ways

Finally.... It stayed solid gor 6 years until I sold the Viento.

yes, i have a lathe, and i think some 50mm alloy bar (will check when i get home) defo have M12 x1.75 taps, i made one for my car, much prefer a correctly threaded knob to one of those "universal" fit jobbies, i will U2U later
