Gear Indicator For R1
Hi Guys,
What gear indicator do people use for the R1? Are there any options? i've got a 1999 4XV, also not using original clocks, not sure whether that
makes any difference.
Regards
Ed

I don't think there is any mechanical pick up (like a busa). I have been told the only way is calculative, ie using a dash computer which uses
number of wheel rotations and engine revs.
Thats why I bought a dash display which could do that!

I used a veypor dash system on mine
was o.k. but it did sometimes struggle to keep up with fast changes

Is there a gear sensor that displays on the busa dash?

I use a gipro gear indicator on my single seater which has a gsxr engine and has worked ok,
also on some engines it can bypass any limiter a bit if required.

This is what I use on my 5PW - should also work on your 4XV?
